SALT LAKE CITY -- Thousands of Iraqi children will soon be walking around in style, thanks to a Utah charity.
Salt Lake based Operation Give is sending 100,000 pairs of Croc shoes to Iraq. The charity was also able to collect school kits, hygiene items, soccer balls and even stuffed animals for U.S. soldiers to hand out.
The man behind Operation Give says it's all about building relationships. "These items that we send to the military put these things in their hands so that they in turn can give them to the people. And maybe that will create a bond, a connection, and make a difference," founder and president Paul Holton said.
